A Wonderful Holiday in Ubud Bali
We came back to Bali in early 2018 for a well-deserved rest. Our primary motive wasn’t just to visit Bali, but to spend some time at the lovely Alam Indah and then on to Alam Gili, both owned by the same family.
We decided to hop over to Bali for several reasons:
It’s Close: A bit over six hours on the plane and you touch down in Denpasar. Mind you, on this trip, there was a problem with the plane, and they had to find another one. Eventually, they conjured up a plane, and we finally loaded an hour or so late. Despite the delay, the anticipation of the serene retreat ahead kept our spirits high.
It’s Affordable: You can have a pretty good holiday for not much money, which is probably why there are so many Australians on the island. Bali offers a range of experiences that are both enriching and budget-friendly, making it an ideal getaway for many.
The Alam Group of Guest Houses: These are a slice of heaven. Alam Indah, nestled in the lush landscapes of Ubud, offers a tranquil escape with its beautiful gardens, traditional Balinese architecture, and warm hospitality. The serenity of the place instantly makes you forget the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Our stay at Alam Indah was nothing short of magical. Each morning, we woke up to the sounds of nature, enjoyed a leisurely breakfast overlooking the verdant greenery, and then ventured out to explore Ubud’s vibrant culture. From the sacred Monkey Forest to the bustling local markets, Ubud had an enchanting mix of tranquility and activity.
After a few blissful days in Ubud, we made our way to Alam Gili. Located on the Gili Islands, this retreat offered a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. With its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, Alam Gili was a paradise for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
Our Bali trip in 2018 was a perfect mix of relaxation and exploration, offering us a much-needed break and a chance to reconnect with nature and ourselves.
